Beyond its traditional military themed gameplay, the true battleground of Urban Assault lies within the struggles of everyday life. Each enemy stands as a mandatory task demanding attention, and the timer ticking away becomes the relentless pursuit of completing our endless tasks before time runs out. Originally created by a three-person team at NYU Game Design Summer School, I later expanded the project with new levels, new UIs, and a new timer system.

My roles: 

  • Lead Designer: idea refinement; mechanics design; old and new level design, and weapon systems design. ​

  • Developer: field-of-view effect; character controller; save system; old and new timer system. ​

  • Artist: enemy sprites and animation; player death animation; new UI.
